Assembly Supervisor
SUMMARY:
The successful candidate will be required to layout and install various major equipment, while meeting various codes and specifications within a fast-paced, detail-oriented shop environment.
JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Read and interpret company and customer supplied drawings and specifications to ensure quality work performed
- Installation and placement of major equipment
- Installation and supporting of spooling
- Skid layout for small bore piping
- Fitting of socket and screwed small bore pipe
- Read, interpret and red-line construction drawings and blueprints (isometrics, P&IDs, G.As)
- Pneumatic testing of spools
- Be an active participant in the company's safety program
QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS:
- Registered apprentice
- 1-2 years experience working in a fabrication or manufacturing environment
- A team player with good organizational skills
- Fall Arrest and AWP certificate would be considered an asset
- Ability to work independently, efficiently, and safely in a fast-paced shop environment
- Good communication skills, both written and oral
- Successful completion of a pre-employment functional
- Successful completion of a Pre-employment drug and alcohol test
- Candidates are required to supply their own standards tools. Specialty tools will be provided by Startec.
